How many kennels do you have?

We have been working hard to increase our boarding and day care capacity.  We recently increased our total number of kennels to 30.  These are located in 4 different areas of our facility giving us the ability to care for dogs of all shapes and sizes, and dogs with special needs.  Check out our facilities gallery to see our kenneling options.

What should I send with my pet?

Some of these items are not required, but could help enhance your pet's stay with us.

  • Proof of vaccinations (Required if you are not current in our system)
  • Pre-measured meals (if you want your pet to eat while with us)
  • Any Medications that your pet requires
  • Leash or collar
  • Non-destructible chew toys

Please do not bring rawhides or other types of toys that may result in a choking hazard.

Do you provide food for my pet?

We will have select, choice dog food brands in stock for purchase if your pet needs to eat while they stay with us.  Prices will vary dependent on the brand your pet prefers, and the amount he or she will want to eat.  if you are interested in purchasing food for you pet, please contact us about pricing and the brands we carry.

We also understand that every pet is unique, and that every pet has a different diet often times with their own special needs. Therefore, if you wish for your pet to eat while he or she stays with us, you are also welcome to bring their favorite type of food to leave with them.  We will ensure that your pet eats during their specified meal time.

Why do we have to fill out so many forms?

Here at It's a Ruff Life, the safety of your pet is our main concern.  With that in mind, we require all of our pets to go through our thorough verification screening. The forms also give us good insight into your pet's personality and how we can best make your pet's stay more comfortable.  If your pet has a special need that is not addressed in the forms or in the screening, please let us know and we will make every effort to accommodate your pet's needs.

What are your operating hours?

We are currently open Monday through Friday from 7 in the morning until 7 at night.  On Saturdays and Sundays, we are open from 8 in the morning until 10.  Then we are closed during the lunch hours, and open back up again from 4 pm until 6.  Please contact us if you need special hours.  We also have overnight, weekend, and holiday boarding for your accommodation.
